Here’s Your Dinner Served With Some Fresh Sorrow! Bon Appetit!
You know, I’ve heard a lot of things about how cooking can be an emotional experience and how, a lot of times, a truly outstanding and difficult meal is prepared with your metaphorical “sweat, blood, and tears.”
At least it used to be metaphorical.
Apparently, human tears are now a viable cooking ingredient. Yeah, you can now purchase your very own tear soaked salt and add a pinch of real-life human emotion to your every-day, boringly seasoned meal. The “tear salt” flavors range from tears of “Anger,” “Chopping Onions,” “Sneezing,” “Laughter,” and, of course, “Sorrow” for around £7 a pop.
Now, if anyone reading this is actually deluded enough to believe it, you should know that, in reality, this is just a kind of prop/joke product which is meant to support a local writing center in London (which goes by the name Ministry of Stories) which is known for its continuous effort to create a truly creative environment for young writers to flourish in.
Which, I think, is actually kind of cool.
And, hell, it might even be a little fun serving dinner to a few guests and bragging to them that the pasta they’re about to enjoy is lightly seasoned with a pinch of human “sorrow.”
All my love!
